Trip to the Used Bookstore & treasures found

January 12, 2007 § 3 Comments

Treated myself to the used bookstore and found some cool little treasures:

  • I Ching – the Legge translation ($4.50) – I was not sure if this was the same as the others but it was so cheap, I grabbed it.
  • I Ching and Transpersonal Psychology – this was done by one of Jung’s students and it looks delicious – in fact I think that I may dive into that first! ($7.50)
  • The Western Guide to Feng Shui – Room by Room – ($8.00)
  • The Feng Shui Directory ($9.00)

The Feng Shui books are practically new! So I have my little projects now – the bagua and the feng shui project and continued reading on the I Ching to further my understanding of the coins.

It feels good to have a project – keeps me entertained brain wise. So I am sitting here sucking on a Starbucks (truly the nectar of the gods) with my books and curled up in my nest.

Weather update – With the wind chill tonight, we will be in the 20′s! During the next week, our high will only be 54F during the day. It ROCKS. I am loving this weather. I cracked the window a bit in the bedroom so it makes for good sleeping all nestled in!

Weather?! Rain?! in the desert?!

After the daily deluges of Florida, topped by a few Hurricanes here and there, I never thought to see the day that I would be astonished to see rain!

It began sometime in the night and has been raining fairly steadily all day – for the first time in 143 days. It is certainly my first experience since arriving in the Valley of the Sun. I is also about 45F and even snowed in Scottsdale this morning – WEATHER!

Curled up, reading, listening to the rain, adjusting to P being gone after three months.

Where Am I?
